100% GENUINE WEBER
These are a pair of 10mm thick base insulating spacers to mount one Weber 40 IDF carburettor to the inlet manifold. They should be fitted dry to a clean surface without any sealant.
With todays fuels there is an increase in under bonnet temperatures which leads to hot handling problems especially in the 10 to 15 minute period after switch off. Result is heat soak. These10mm spacers with gaskets fitted either side will give a better chance of reducing heat soak.
This problem is nothing new & even in 1976 when fuel was good, Fiat felt it necessary to fit a cooling fan to the X1/9 as standard which operated on switch off to help with heat soak!
Please look at the other items in the shop where you will find a range of parts for the IDF carburettors, including brand new units & all fuel related products.
